Job Summary
 
The Hospitality Runner plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by supporting food and beverage operations throughout the convention center. This position is responsible for transporting food, beverages, supplies, and equipment between kitchens, concession areas, meeting rooms, banquet spaces, and event venues. The ideal candidate is energetic, dependable, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced event environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver food, beverages, supplies, and equipment to designated event and service areas in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the setup, replenishment, and breakdown of concession stations, and hospitality areas.
  • Ensure banquet rooms, meeting spaces, and service stations remain stocked and organized throughout events.
  • Support servers, bartenders, and culinary staff as needed to maintain efficient operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to supervisors.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Safely transport carts, trays, and equipment throughout the facility.
  • Respond promptly to guest and team member requests.
  • Assist with room resets and event transitions between scheduled functions.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous hospitality, banquet, restaurant, catering, or event experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, depending on event requirements.
  • Ability to maneuver loaded carts and equipment safely throughout the facility.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in convention centers, hotels, stadiums, arenas, or banquet facilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize during high-volume events.
  • Positive attitude with a commitment to guest satisfaction.
