Job Description
The base annual salary range for this position is $100k - $110k.
We are seeking a Director of Event Services who is passionate about creating meaningful, and inspired group experiences in an unparalleled luxury island setting. The Director of Event Services will oversee our Event Management team and bring to life events that reflect Auberge core values - Excellence, Nurturing, Respect, Individuality, Curious, and Heartfelt. From strategic planning to flawless event execution, this role blends thoughtful leadership with hands-on hospitality. Serve as the primary connection between our Group clients and our internal teams, guiding events from vision through execution, with excellence. Reporting directly to the Director of Catering & Events.
  • Leads and sets the standards for Group customer engagement; responsible for management of Group turnovers from the Group Sales Team.
  • Responsible for Event Management Team cohesion, communication and morale.
  • Demonstrate clear and composed problem-solving skills, using sound judgment even under pressure.
  • Strong leadership, excellent communication, organization and negotiation abilities.
  • Perform all job functions with strong attention to detail, efficiency, and accuracy. Prioritize, organize, and follow up effectively.
  • Consistently demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Partner with clients to plan, develop and execute programming, activities and experience that align with Auberge's Core Values and our Hawaiian culture.
  • Responsible for Event Management upsell initiatives and the accurate forecasting of event revenue.
  • Partner with Director of Catering & Events to analyze trends, customer behavior and competitive activity to identify opportunities for improvement and revenue growth.
  • Assist the Director of Catering & Events to manage fiscal resources of the department to ensure profitability.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale complex events and property "buyouts".

Qualifications
Education:
  • Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions. College degree preferred.

Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Director of Events Services in a full-service resort or hotel, with experience handling incentives, weddings, and the social market.
