Description
Terraphase Engineering is seeking a hands-on Environmental Site Foremanto support environmental construction and remediation projects throughout the region. This role is ideal for someone with a construction or heavy civil background who enjoys working in the field, leading crews, and solving problems, but is looking for a role with greater variety and long-term career growth.
You will oversee field operations on projects involving earthwork, grading, environmental remediation, and construction activities while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. This position is a key link between project managers, clients, subcontractors, and field crews.
The Role
  • Lead daily field operations on environmental and construction projects
  • Supervise field crews of 3 to 5 employees and coordinate subcontractors
  • Interpret construction drawings, grading plans, and project specifications
  • Coordinate equipment, materials, and project logistics
  • Monitor project progress, safety, quality, and production
  • Prepare daily reports, field documentation, and project updates
  • Assist with project budgeting, tracking labor and equipment costs, and reporting project status
  • Travel to project sites throughout the region as needed

Who You Are
  • 5+ years of experience as a Site Supervisor, Field Superintendent, Foreman, or similar leadership role
  • Experience managing projects with budgets of approximately $100,000 or larger
  • Experience leading field crews and coordinating daily construction activities
  • Strong understanding of construction plans, grading plans, and field operations
  • Experience operating heavy equipment
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting and documentation
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
  • Experience towing trucks and trailers

Preferred Qualifications
  • Environmental remediation or environmental construction experience
  • Experience managing project budgets and understanding project financial terms such as fixed fee, time and materials, utilization, and expenses
  • DOT certification or familiarity with DOT regulations
  • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER or other applicable safety certifications
  • CDL is a plus but not required
