Build and provide tools, processes, training, and implementation support to assist facility personnel manage legal/regulatory obligations and Lamb Weston environmental program requirements. Function as a subject matter expert and system administrator for the Waste Treatment area. Participate in the Environmental audit and corrective action processes to assure continuous compliance and improve EHS performance.Job DescriptionDaily operation and maintenance of the waste treatment area and equipment associated with itCoordination/scheduling of sample collection and analysis Shipment/collection of samples and compilation of dataMonitor daily/monthly effluent discharges and limits per permit Be a champion for daily water usage Track and log data regarding water qualityBe responsible for monitoring and coordinating 5S in storm drain areasCoordination/scheduling with contractor required activities (i.e. for required sampling, chemical orders)Interaction with operators to assure wastewater compliance requirements.Assist Environmental Manager, as necessary.Participate in Sustainable Development ProgramParticipate and help coordinate input into metrics tracking systemSupport Environmental Program ManagementEnsure monitoring and tracking is up to date Participate in implementation of investigations and corrective actions from environmental eventsParticipate in capital planning process to ensure environmental components are coveredBasic & Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Science (Engineering, Biology or Chemistry) preferred, or equivalent years of experienceEngineer in Training (EIT) preferred0 - 3 years progressive experience in the environmental/wastewater fieldKnowledge of environmental regulations and their impact on the food industryKnowledgeable of operational practices for environmental control systems on water supply, wastewater, air pollution and solid waste.Provide expertise to plant operators to successfully manage and operate equipment to meet permit requirements.Understanding of food processing sanitation and quality control needs in manufacturing consumer food products.Understanding of waste treatment systemGood leadership skillsGood presentation skillsGood communication skills to train and work with team members of other departments Computer (MS Word, Excel, etc.) capabilities.Ability to work in office environment, manufacturing operations.Moderate weightlifting as required to complete tasks.Be able to cover 12 hour shifts if needed and flexibility to work with day and night crewIndustry-Competitive BenefitsCoupled with our compensation and bonus incentive programs, our benefits deliver rewards that are market competitive.
