Job description

Queens Law firm is seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Legal Assistant to become a part of our team! You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with clients regarding their legal case
  • Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
  • File various legal documents with courts
  • Communicate with insurance companies to resolve various claim issues
  • Communicate with courts regarding cases
  • Obtain medical reports from various medical facilities including hospitals, doctors' offices, etc.
  • Record and store client information

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field is preferred but not required
  • At least 1 year of New York Workers' Compensation experience is required
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must
