A Machine Braider Specialist (also called a Braiding Machine Operator or Braider Operator) is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring braiding machines to produce highquality braided products while ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with specifications.
Job Summary
The specialist supervises the braiding process of one or more machines, ensuring that the product meets quality standards, production schedules, and safety requirements. This role combines technical skills in machine operation with attention to detail, process improvement, and problemsolving.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary owner of braid full cleanout procedures and wearable part rebuilds
NF, FO, MW, Med
- Expected to be 95% on the floor to support
- Ensure Standardization of best practices and setups
- May run machines if manning gap exists in operations
- Drives trials/tests related to Braid projects/initiatives
- GEMBA multiple areas throughout the day for SWP adherence
- Braid RPR owner
Identifies troubled area or machine and reviews all critical components
- Support Braid Setups with ENG
- Involved on Braid focus group
- Assist in braid problem solving and braid scrap
- Ensure Emaint process is utilized
- Working with Maintenance on repeat rebuilds/parts to identify larger issues

Skills & Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; no formal degree required in most cases

- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 lbs frequently and 80 lbs occasionally, and perform bending, reaching, and fine motor tasks
