Job description

Major Duties and Responsibilities Under the direction of the Director of Communications and Community Affairs, this position assists in the City's communications and public information efforts. Produce marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, and press releases. Acts as social media lead for the City's platforms.

Assists in the implementation of a variety of marking and public information tactics for CCG departments. Monitors local media reports and distributes newsletters. Answers telephones and interacts with visitors; responds to requests and provides accurate information.

Monitors and updates the Communications and Community Affairs website with upcoming events, press releases, and material pertaining to CCG. Assist in the implementation of a variety of marketing and public information tactics in support of City programs and initiatives. Monitors the CCG website for accurate and up-to-date information.

Monitors the upkeep of CCG social media accounts. Captures videos and photos for use on social media; creates content to support capturing video and photos. Performs other related job duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of the principles and practices of marketing and media relations. Establishes and maintains alphabetic and numeric filing system; manages a database. Formats and type letters, memos, forms, reports, correspondence, charts, and other documents; enters and retrieves computerized data; prepares narrative and statistical reports.
