Job description

Job Summary:
Netradyne harnesses the power of Computer Vision and Edge Computing to revolutionize the modern-day transportation ecosystem. The founding product engineer will own the experiences safety managers and operations leads use every day, building a vision-based platform that monitors activity and surfaces safety risks in real time.
Responsibilities:
• Safety operations dashboard — Real-time event feed, alert detail with video clips, site map, zone-violation tracking, site-level risk summaries.
• Compliance analytics — Trend reporting, time-based comparisons, exportable reports for safety and operational record-keeping.
• Operator scoring and coaching workflow — Worker/operator safety scoring, coaching queue, session tracking and completion.
• Agentic product features — Conversational safety assistant over live and historical data; auto-coaching agent that drafts sessions and intervention plans; intelligent alert triage and summarization. You own how these surface to users.
• Application-layer backend — APIs, data modeling for product features, and integration points, built against the Cloud Platform team’s primitives and contracts.
• Rapid iteration with real customers — Ship fast, instrument usage, run pilots alongside live deployments.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with depth in frontend and full-stack product development.
• Strong product instincts and design taste — you can make UX tradeoffs without a designer and iterate from real field usage.
• Experience building data-dense, real-time interfaces: event feeds, dashboards with video, timelines, alert queues, complex filtering and workflow views.
• Comfortable with backend development: API design, data modeling, multi-tenancy, role-based access control.
• Willingness to work directly with customers in the field.
• Proficiency in modern web languages (TypeScript/JavaScript) and a backend language (e.g. Go or Python).
• Fluent with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) as part of your day-to-day workflow.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Preferred:
• building or integrating AI agent features (tool use, conversational interfaces, LLM-powered surfaces) — a strong differentiator
• cloud infrastructure (AWS)
• safety, operations, or compliance software
Company:
Netradyne engages in improving fleet safety through computer vision and in-depth data analysis. Founded in 2015, the company is headquartered in San Diego, USA, with a team of 501-1000 employees. The company is currently Late Stage.
