Job description

Royal Pawz is a fast-growing mobile dog grooming company serving Greater Houston. Our fully-equipped grooming vans come right to the client's driveway. We provide the van, equipment, and booked clients — you bring the energy and a love for dogs.

We're hiring a part-time Dog Bather / Grooming Assistant to support our groomers across the southwest Houston metro (Sugar Land, Missouri City, Pearland, Katy, Stafford, Jersey Village, Cypress, and the Galleria area). This is a great entry point into professional grooming with a clear path to becoming a commission groomer.

PAY

- $10–$15 per hour when assisting a senior groomer (based on experience)

- OR earn 20%–25% commission on days you groom solo

- You keep your share of tips

- Paid training and a clear path to advance into a full commission groomer role

- W2 employee position

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Bathe, dry, de-shed, and brush out dogs before and after grooming

- Nail trims, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims as trained

- Support the lead groomer and keep the van clean, stocked, and sanitary

- Help safely handle and soothe dogs of all sizes and temperaments

- Assist with appointment flow and basic client communication

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- A love for dogs and a strong work ethic — no experience required, bathing experience a plus

- Reliable, punctual, and teachable

- Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments

- Valid driver's license preferred

- Able to safely handle and lift dogs up to approximately 80 lbs
