Job Description:

We are looking for a competent dental assistant with x-ray certification. The right individual will make the dentist’s office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You’ll ensure excellent customer service and perform administrative and basic dental tasks. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. We are willing to train the right individual and dental assistants with no experience are welcome to apply.

Ideal candidate responsibilities and qualifications:

· Prior dental assisting experience of 1 year preferred, however, willing to fully train the right candidate.

· Dental radiology and CPR certifications

· Self-starter, dedicated, friendly, motivated, problem-solving, detail-oriented, computer literate, dexterous, multi-tasker

· Ability to complete clinical tasks accurately and efficiently

· Willing to be coached and adaptable to evolving practice modalities

· Good understanding of dental procedures, dental anatomy, and procedural set ups and protocols

· Assist doctor with clinical treatments, confirm equipment, and set up supplies per procedure, and think ahead to ready materials for scheduled patient procedures

· Must be able to assist standing or sitting for prolonged periods and able to lift 45 pounds if needed.

· Interact with patients pre and post-operatively

· Chairside verbal proficiency with patient advocacy and treatment acceptance

· Sterilize instruments, set up and disinfect operatories

· Chart existing treatment and proposed treatment with DDS

· Efficient and productive communication skills

· 3 days/week leading to 5 days/week

· 4 handed dentistry

· Fluent in English; Spanish speaker encouraged
