Job description

KBP Brands is seeking a Sr. Division Controller to oversee financial operations across multiple restaurant brands while serving as a strategic partner to Operations leadership. This role combines accounting expertise, financial analysis, and business partnership responsibilities to support performance, reporting, and operational decision-making.
The Division Controller will play a key role in analyzing financial results, communicating insights to operational leaders, and identifying opportunities to improve business performance. The ideal candidate will be a relationship-driven finance leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys influencing results through strong partnerships.
What You'll Do
  • Manage and develop a team responsible for operational accounting activities.
  • Ensure timely completion of month-end close activities and reporting deadlines.
  • Analyze financial results using historical trends, forecasts, and budget expectations.
  • Identify business trends and provide actionable recommendations to Operations and Finance leadership.
  • Partner closely with Operations leaders to support decision-making and improve financial performance.
  • Ensure timely completion of month-end close activities and reporting deadlines.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense management activities.
  • Develop and improve accounting controls, reporting processes, and operational metrics.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and management reports.
  • Assist with store-level performance initiatives, cost savings opportunities, and KPI reporting.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of POS systems and operational reporting to support business objectives.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting, finance, FP&A, or operational finance experience.
  • Prior leadership experience managing or developing accounting or finance professionals.
  • Strong financial analysis and business partnership skills.
  • Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial audiences.
  • Experience supporting operational leaders and influencing business decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in restaurant, franchise, retail, hospitality, or other multi-unit environments preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships, establish credibility, and effectively partner with stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.
