Description

Under the direction of the attending physicians, provides general medical care for the Practice to ensure patients needs are met in a professional and timely manner

Education - BS from an AMA accredited Physician Assistant Program

Experience - At least one year experience in a medical office setting preferred. Other clinical arenas may be considered for substitution.

Licensure/Certification - MMG - Licensed to practice as a Physician's Assistant in the State of Maryland. Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy. If a code cart is maintained in the practice ACLS and PALS (if applicable) are required. Wound Center Physician Assistant requires ACLS, PALS, and BLS.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Fluency in coding, ICD-9 and CPT, or commitment to acquire. Will have the following computer access: Meditech (PCI) and electronic health record (Allscripts) software, Internet, Intranet.
