Job description

Encore at Parkside is currently hiring for Full- Time & Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistants (C.N.A.) in our skilled nursing department. C.N.A.'s will perform duties that assist the professional nurses in providing care to residents according to their individualized care plan and facility policies and procedures. With emphasis on a restorative philosophy, C.N.A.'s perform duties that assist the resident with their activities of daily living and enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a balance of emotional and physical support that allows an individual to function at their highest level of independence including dressing, bathing, grooming, eating/feeding, bed mobility/positioning, continence care/toileting, behavioral support, ambulation/wheelchair mobility.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents
  • Communicates changes in residents' condition and function to nurse immediately when noted.
  • Performs assigned tasks as directed by Unit Manager.
  • Accountable for completion of C.N.A. documentation which includes progress notes, percentage of meals and fluid taken, bowel sheet, and ADL's.
  • Communicates with residents, families and co-workers utilizing a pleasant positive approach.
  • Respects Residents Rights for Privacy and Dignity.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Current State of Delaware C.N.A. Certificate
  • Current CPR Card
