The Northern Nevada State Veterans Home (NNSVH), operated by Health Dimensions Group under contract with the Nevada Department of Veterans Services, is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Assistant Director of Nursing to support clinical operations at our modern skilled nursing and long-term care community in Sparks, NV.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the Assistant Director of Nursing will provide clinical leadership and operational support across the nursing department while helping ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and survey readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
Support orientation, annual education, and ongoing staff training initiatives
Coordinate Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance processes, including QAPI activities and corrective action plans
Audit systems and documentation for compliance with state and federal regulations
Support survey readiness efforts and participate in survey activities
Partner on incident investigations and root-cause analysis initiatives
Assist with staffing oversight and scheduling support to maintain appropriate coverage
Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and staff development activities
Qualifications
Active RN license in good standing (Nevada license or ability to obtain required)
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in skilled nursing, post-acute, or long-term care settings required
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations and survey processes
Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, leadership, and surveyors
Ability to participate in leadership on-call rotation, including evenings/weekends as needed
Experience with PointClickCare preferred
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $85,083 - $107,000 annually DOE
$5,000 Sign-On Bonus
