Job description

Description

If you're the person others rely on to get the facts right, build systems that work, and eliminate inefficiencies through precision-this is your seat at the table. This role is built for a disciplined, analytical leader who thrives on turning complex retail operations into structured, repeatable systems that drive measurable results. You'll operate as the authority on how retail should work-bringing clarity, consistency, and performance through data, process, and accountability.

What You Will Do
  • Design, implement, and continuously refine retail operating systems and processes that improve efficiency, visibility, and execution consistency across all locations
  • Analyze operational, financial, and safety data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities-then translate findings into actionable improvements
  • Own the creation, documentation, and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure every store operates with precision and consistency
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve merchandising execution, store performance, and overall customer experience
  • Establish and track KPIs tied to operational performance, safety compliance, and loss prevention, driving accountability across the organization
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and operational reviews to validate compliance, identify root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee safety programs, ensuring full compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all regulatory requirements while reducing incidents and claims through structured initiatives
  • Develop and execute loss prevention strategies, including audit controls, training programs, and risk mitigation processes
  • Partner with leadership to review financial performance, budgets, and operational effectiveness, ensuring stores meet performance targets
  • Lead and develop a focused team, setting clear expectations, coaching for performance, and ensuring work is executed to defined standards
What You Will Need
  • Extensive experience in retail operations, safety management, loss prevention, and business process improvement
  • A proven track record of managing complex, multi-location operations and delivering measurable performance improvements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with a relentless focus on accuracy and fact-based decision-making
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems (ERP, CRM), plus experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear, direct communication skills with the ability to translate complex processes into structured, written standards
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field (MBA preferred) and 10+ years of senior-level experience in retail or operations leadership
Why You'll Succeed Here
  • You're driven by accuracy and expertise-you don't guess, you validate, and you build credibility through facts and systems
  • You naturally create order out of complexity, thriving in structured environments where processes, standards, and consistency matter
  • You prefer working independently or with a focused team, owning outcomes and ensuring work is executed correctly the first time
  • You communicate directly and concisely, using data and logic to influence decisions rather than relying on opinion or noise
  • You take pride in being the subject matter expert-the person others turn to when something needs to be done right, backed by evidence and precision
