Northrop Grumman's Employee Communications team seeks an Associate Employee Communications Representative who is eager to support communications planning, enjoys helping inform and inspire employees around business priorities and culture, loves to tell stories, and is motivated to learn and grow through disciplined measurement, analysis and adjustment.
This position reports to the EmployeeCommunications Manager and is located in McLean, VA.

In this job, you'll:

• Support our efforts to inform and inspire employeesanddrive business priorities within theDefenseSystems sector.

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to execute strategicinternalcommunicationscampaigns that engage demographically and geographically diverse audiences, some of whom are difficult to reach.

• Write, draft, edit and help facilitate the designand distributionof internal materials, newsletters, employee feature stories and other engaging content.

• Be a storyteller - conceptualize, procure and produce a diverse array of inspirational content about our people, technologies, successes and business capabilities, including articles, videos, interviews, Q&As, infographics and photo/caption features.

• Maintain the team's editorial calendarand content trackerto coordinate contentand ensure timely delivery.

• Draft talking points, speeches, slides, video scripts, employee announcements and executive summaries for senior leaders.

• Proactively identify and trackupcoming wins and milestonesacross thesector andsupport the development and distribution of sector success stories, including amplification across the enterprise, where appropriate.

• Develop,implementand measureinternalcommunications plansthatinform and inspire employees,drive businessgoalsand support sector and enterprise communicationsobjectives.

• Develop and implement internal communications and change management plans that inform and inspire employees, drive business goals and support sector and enterprise communications objectives. Ensure all communications plans and tactics arealignedwith thecompany, sector and function strategy.

• Serve as a trusted partner to leaders and communicators to utilize sector communications channels to convey priority messages and support broader business priorities.

• Own and maintain sector employee communications channels, including the sector intranet home page, sectorand site newsletters, distribution lists, key resource mailboxes, texting program and digital signage, ensuring content is coordinated, accurate, current and aligned to business and function priorities.

• Serve as the sector intranet home page lead and primary Defense Systems representative for SharePoint, including regular updates to news lists, rotators and A to Z listings.

• Act as primary distributor for allsector, allleader and President messages, and support or back up distribution of division and functional communications.

• Monitor key resource mailboxes daily and ensure employee inquiries and requests are addressed within one business day.

• Maintain sector employee communications distribution lists and resource mailboxes, including creating, updating and quality controlling Employee Communications owned lists (manual andSmartDLs).

• Lead the piloting and implementation of employee communications measurement tools;collect data and support analysis to continuously improve the impact of communications, events and activities.

• Assist in the planning and execution of internalengagementsincluding webcasts, site visits, conferences, leadership calls, all-hands, andotherleadership engagements.Provide project management, logistics and strategic communications support for special sector events and projects.

• Work closely with Communications and functional partners across the sector and corporation to align messages and share best practices.

• Appreciate data and are disciplined about measuring the impact of communications plans, campaigns and tactics, using insights to improve and refine future work.

• Enjoy making connections, creating integrated stories and orchestrating how messages flow across channels to provide the best experience for employees and other key stakeholders.

• Have a track record of developing and implementing successful employee communications campaigns and initiatives.

BasicQualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism,English,Marketing or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience managing communications projects, channels or campaigns, drafting communication content, materials and products -OR- 1 year of experience with a Master's Degree in a related field with similar communications project experience.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong problem solving, organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficient in Associated Press Style.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience inemployee,strategic or digital communications, journalism, marketing, public relations.

• Experience with social media channels, audiences and practices.

• Experience establishing and advancing an organization's brand.

Primary Level Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $113,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
