Marketing & Events Coordinator


Ben’s Bells teaches individuals and communities about the positive impacts of intentional kindness and inspires people to practice kindness as a way of life.

Position Summary


Reporting to the Executive Director, the Marketing & Events Coordinator will support marketing efforts to promote education and studio programs, special events, merchandise, fundraising days, appeals, and all other items as they arise. The Marketing & Events Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Development on all fundraising and event efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong marketing and event experience. 


Responsibilities:


Marketing

  • Work in collaboration with the Marketing Committee and Leadership Team to create and execute an annual strategic marketing plan
  • Work alongside department heads to develop and manage the annual marketing and print budget
  • Manage website updates
  • Design and send emails to support the organization via Constant Contact
  • Monitor marketing/media email inbox
  • Write, edit, and distribute content for digital marketing campaigns (email newsletters, website landing pages, and digital ads)
  • Responsible for maintaining social media presence  across all channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram) 
  • Ensure adherence to style and brand guidelines
  • Photograph and film as needed
  • Maintain online listings for all locations 
  • Oversee organization's digital analytics and set, monitor, and report on campaign results
  • Understand, utilize, and share Google Analytics data
  • Track and report metrics and trends with strategic analysis and recommendations, including monthly dashboards
  • Update signage, logos, brochures, and other marketing material as needed
  • Oversee bidding and ordering of collateral, print, and promotional materials
  • Drive the implementation and optimization of paid advertising
  • Oversee marketing intern


Events

  • Serve as the lead on planning and executing the Silent Auction for our annual gala event, Celebration of Kindness, including leading the Silent Auction volunteer committee
  • Assist in managing other events throughout the year, including planning, scheduling, creating ticket forms, confirmation emails, marketing materials, sales reports, post-event debrief, and advertisements as needed
  • Create media kits for all programs and events 
  • Coordinate Marketing efforts via social media, press contacts, and community partners

  • Demonstrated excellence with time management and communication skills
  • Must be comfortable speaking with media and community groups
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and simultaneously


Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing
  • Available for occasional early morning, evening, and weekend activities
  • Bilingual skills helpful, but not required
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in video editing and motion graphics (Premiere and After Effects)
  • Proficient with WordPress website
