AtFreedom Healthcare, we are expanding our behavioral health services across multiple states and seeking a dynamic, results-driven leader to join our executive team as a Corporate Business Development Director.


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced healthcare business development professional to lead strategic growth initiatives, support new program development, and drive marketing performance across a multi-state behavioral health organization.


Position Summary

The Corporate Business Development Director is responsible for leading the implementation and execution of strategic business development and marketing initiatives for Freedom Healthcare's behavioral health division across a multi-state region. This leadership role partners closely with executive leadership to support organizational growth, expand service lines, strengthen referral relationships, and lead startup development initiatives.


The Corporate Business Development Director will oversee and support facility-based Service Development Directors and Representatives while ensuring alignment with company goals, census objectives, and operational strategies. This role requires a highly motivated leader with strong analytical, relationship-building, training, and performance management skills.


The ideal candidate is data-driven, operationally minded, and passionate about behavioral healthcare growth and community engagement.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business development and marketing plans across multiple behavioral health facilities and states
  • Partner with executive leadership on organizational growth initiatives and new service development opportunities
  • Lead and support startup development projects and expansion efforts
  • Analyze facility marketing performance, referral trends, census activity, and community development data
  • Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly business development reports and analytics
  • Train, onboard, mentor, and support facility Service Development Directors and Representatives
  • Assist facility CEOs/Program Administrators with coaching, accountability, and performance management of business development teams
  • Build and maintain strong referral source relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and strategic partners
  • Identify opportunities for market growth, community outreach, and service line expansion
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, ethical marketing practices, and organizational standards
  • Collaborate with operational and clinical leadership to align business development strategies with patient care goals
  • Support community engagement activities, networking events, and professional outreach efforts
  • Utilize technology, CRM systems, reporting tools, and mobile applications to track performance and maintain communication


Qualifications

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Development, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent healthcare business development experience may be considered in lieu of degree


Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of consecutive experience in healthcare marketing, admissions, or business development with demonstrated measurable success
  • Previous leadership experience managing or mentoring business development or sales teams required
  • Behavioral health or psychiatric healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with multi-site healthcare operations preferred

Travel Requirements

This position is remote-based; however, extensive travel is required. The Corporate Business Development Director must be willing and able to travel approximately 90% or more to facilities and communities throughout the organization's service areas.


Candidates must be flexible with travel scheduling and understand that overnight travel is frequently required. Depending on business needs, this position may require overnight stays of up to four (4) nights per week.
