Intern Job Description:
This position will work at the Entergy AMI Engineering Lab where candidate will have hands-on experience to learn how to test smart devices and learning about the software to analyze the data. During this time, the candidate will work on project planning, engineering design and review test results and root cause analysis investigations while maintaining safe work practices at all times. Further, there will be coding, automation and quality control related tasks for candidate to explore and add values to the lab.
Intern Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Working in a team environment to assist engineers in day-to-day activities including but not limited to:
  • Ability to learn and showcase computer programming and IT networking skillsets.
  • Hands-on experience working with testing equipment.
  • Using strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles and having a willingness to learn new things.
  • Possess the ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Acceptance of an inclusive work environment.
  • Participate in Entergy continuous improvement projects.
  • Work with cross-functional team in different departments to conduct projects or perform investigations.

Education Requirements:
  • Candidates must be actively pursuing a bachelors, masters or doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or IT. Other relevant fields of study may be considered.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 is required (on a 4.0 scale).

Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Experience in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with electrical theory
