SPA has an immediate need for a TIEL Deputy Director to join our team to support the PAE Fires Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office, a government office addressing Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense system development at the Tactical Innovation and Experimentation Lab (TIEL).
Responsibilities
The TIEL Deputy Director position will provide support to the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Product Office, a government program office addressing AIAMD system development, at the TIEL facility. The candidate will serve as a deputy to the TIEL Director, providing technical leadership and insights to support over 100 end users with varying requirements and functions. The Deputy Director will work closely with the system administration and program and information security teams to ensure that the lab meets the requirements and functions needed based on the Army and the end users. This position will focus on researching, developing, and executing technical solutions for future growth and opportunities for the TIEL while assisting in the operational tempo, collaboration, and coordination between all internal teams. The Deputy Director will assist in decision making and prioritization for the lab with respect to support functions for corporation entities. The candidate will also serve as a liaison to IFMC Agile Product Teams such as the System Product Team.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Technical Field
  • 15+ years of experience with 10 + years in Department of War engineering programs and management/leadership roles
  • Expertise in developing, designing and implementing complex information technology solutions with demonstratable track record for leading tasks to completion
  • Experience working in classified lab environment working with a mixture of government, prime contractor and support personnel
  • US Citizen possessing and able to maintain a US Secret Security Clearance or higher

Desired Qualifications:
  • Software and/or Hardware experience with Army Air and Missile Defense Programs
  • Familiarity with Agile Software Development processes, especially SAFE™ Agile
