Job Overview:
 
Pay Range: $43.18hr - $48.18hr
  • The role involves working with project stakeholders and regulatory agencies to support permitting strategies, wetland delineation, environmental compliance, and water quality protection activities.

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 3+ years of general water quality compliance experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in regulatory permitting and negotiation.
  • 2+ years of experience as a jurisdictional water and wetland delineator.
  • Completion of a minimum 40-hour Wetland Delineation course with applied project experience.
  • 2+ years of resource and project planning experience.
  • 2+ years of experience using ArcGIS and Google Earth.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and geospatial systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Clean Water Act Sections 404 and 401, Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act, and Fish and Game Code Section 1600.

Experience:

  • Experience coordinating with USACE, SWRCB, RWQCB, and CDFW.
  • Experience supporting environmental permitting and compliance activities.
  • Experience working on wetlands and water quality projects.
  • Experience preparing regulatory documentation and permit support materials.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional project planning and environmental compliance initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Support permitting strategies and provide recommendations based on project requirements.
  • Coordinate with wetlands teams and project stakeholders on environmental compliance activities.
  • Support coordination with federal and state resource agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with water quality protection regulations and permitting requirements.
  • Assist with wetlands delineation and jurisdictional assessments.
  • Support resource planning, project coordination, and environmental documentation.
  • Utilize GIS and geospatial tools for project support and analysis.
  • Assist with regulatory negotiations and environmental compliance reporting.

Should Have:

  • 5+ years of general water quality compliance experience.
  • 5+ years of regulatory permitting and negotiation experience.
  • 3+ years of wetlands delineation experience.
  • Experience performing wetlands delineation in the Arid Southwest.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to environmental safety and safe work practices.

Skills:

  • Wetlands delineation and water quality compliance.
  • Environmental permitting and regulatory coordination.
  • ArcGIS and geospatial analysis tools.
  • Resource and project planning.
  • Environmental documentation and reporting.
  • Regulatory negotiation and stakeholder management.

Qualification And Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Wetland Delineation training and applied field experience required.
