Location: - Fairport, NY
Pay Rate $ 20/hr on W2
Duration: 6 to 12 Months
Description:
Department: Coating
Duration: 6 Months with the possibility of extension based on demand/need
** DOD/ITAR Compliant Required - This is an ITAR facility. DOD compliance requires US Citizens for this role. **
Position Summary
Data Coordinator will support the Coating Department by collecting, organizing, entering, and maintaining production and operational data. This position is responsible for ensuring data accuracy, timely reporting, and proper documentation to help support departmental performance tracking and decision-making. The role will work directly with the Coating Department leadership.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and compile production, quality, downtime, and operational data for the Coating Department
  • Enter data into spreadsheets, databases, and internal tracking systems accurately and in a timely manner
  • Review source documents for completeness and accuracy
  • Maintain organized electronic and/or paper records of department data
  • Generate routine reports for department leadership
  • Assist with tracking trends, metrics, and performance indicators
  • Communicate with team members and supervisors to clarify missing or inconsistent data
  • Support special projects and data-related tasks as assigned
  • Maintain confidentiality of department and company information

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred.
  • Previous experience with data entry, administrative support, reporting, or manufacturing documentation preferred (1-3+ years).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications required **
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical / Work Environment Requirements
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in an office and/or manufacturing environment as needed
  • Will require walking to and from the production floor to gather information
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while entering and reviewing data

Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with production data, compiling and analyzing production data
  • Familiarity with ERP, MES, or internal production tracking systems
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and follow up for correction
