Compensation and Benefits

The expected base salary range for this position, when hired into our Toronto location, is CAD $40,000 - $50,000ย per year. For positions based in other jurisdictions, compensation will be determined in alignment with local regulations, market benchmarks, and internal compensation frameworks.ย The above range reflects the typical base salary range for candidates hired into this position. The actual salary will vary depending on a number of factors, including job location, experience, qualifications, education/training, skills, market conditions, and alignment with the role's requirements.

In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in our annual incentive program, payment under which is at the discretion of PartnerRe and subject to individual and company performance. Eligible employees also have the opportunity to participate in an array of benefits, including medical, dental and vision coverage, a health spending account, a defined contribution pension plan, life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, etc.

About the Job

We are seeking for our Toronto office, a Business Data Analyst - Co-op, who is a highly skilled, self-motivated individual. This is a 9-12 month internship, starting in September 2026. The Business Data Analyst will be responsible for either processing business in PartnerRe systems or working on NAL Operations and Administration projects.

Key Responsibilities

Your internal responsibilities will include:

  • Support PartnerRe projects by processing transactions in the administration system
  • Support the PartnerRe monthly billing process as needed
  • Adhere to all IT controls and security established by IT management.
  • Ensure the Team Lead is informed of ongoing work activities and any unusual circumstances to ensure quality and timely deliverables.
  • Assist other teams within North American Life Operations as required.
  • Keep the Team Lead informed of ongoing work activities and any unusual circumstances to ensure quality and timely deliverables.

About You

  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-identification and resolution skills with attention to detail
  • MS Office, Access, VBA, Python or SQL skills
  • Completed second or third year of bachelors program in a STEM or business related field.ย 
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions clearly, and ask for clarification when needed
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with management and peers
  • Demonstrated ability to promote effective teamwork and accountability
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments communicating prioritizations to required levels
  • Highest degree of professional ethics
  • Strong interpersonal skills & effective communicator (written and oral)
  • High degree of personal competence (self-awareness, self-management) and social competence (social awareness, relationship management)
