Description
Purpose and Scope
The Data & Reports Analyst role is to design, develop and maintain reporting capabilities for various reporting structures across The Gideons International. This role is also designated to gather business requirements from users to develop architectural concepts and accurate functional requirements for each initiative. The role is expected to manage systems to be able to reliably produce multiple defined reports of high accuracy on a defined schedule, to produce ad-hoc reports as needed, and to provide recommendations for technology and structural improvements in existing systems and processes.
Strategy & Planning
• Design, develop and manage current reporting activities and processes.
• In conjunction with data owners and lines of business, develop models, procedures, and protocols for reporting in concert with The Gideons International goals.
• Design, develop, and deploy required reporting in response to business user needs.
• Assist in the development of data management policies and procedures.
• Research, review, and analyze effectiveness, accuracy and efficiency of existing report procedures and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging processes.
• Develop routines and procedures for end-users to facilitate best practices use of reporting tools and applications.
• Communicate reporting changes, enhancements, and modifications to management and business owners.
Operational Management
• Manage, monitor and maintain existing data warehouse and reporting infrastructure using Azure SQL databases, NetSuite ERP, and Celigo integration.
• Develop a working knowledge of The Gideons International operations and processes, and how the various enterprise operations, membership and financial systems function and interact to support the associations' mission.
• Design and develop new reporting infrastructure as needed as systems and processes change or new needs are recognized.
• Perform daily monitoring of overnight processing, observing any abnormal behavior and promptly take action to apply corrections to processing routines or contact data managers for remediation.
• Serve as a resource to investigate inquiries raised by reporting users regarding the accuracy and validity of reported data.
• Provide expertise for and execution of key processes for establishment of fiscal year Camp and Country-level ministry goals to support monthly reporting.
• Provide expertise for and execution of key processes for fiscal year-end reporting.
• Manage, monitor and maintain existing The Gideons International mailing list processes for US Mail and Email, maintain external vendor interfaces, and maintain compliance with US Postal Service regulations.
• Create prototype reporting models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to application developers.
• Understand and follow existing data management practices, and work to define best practices for data & reports architecture, data mining/analysis services across the organization.
• Follow appropriate safeguards when implementing technical changes to production systems.
• Coordinate and perform appropriate testing, including peer and end-user reviews, for modified and new processes.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and 3-5 years of Information Technology and relevant Business-related work experience
• Minimum of 3 years working extensively with an RDBMS system such as MS SQL Server or Oracle for both database management and server-based application development using Transact SQL or PL/SQL procedural languages.
• Advanced database developer experience with MS SQL or Oracle (particularly with complex queries, stored procedures and index management), and with MS SQL Management Studio (or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of operations management and/or financial management.
• Working knowledge of financial and accounting principles and systems.
• PC experience with advanced proficiency in MS Excel, working knowledge with MS Word, PowerPoint, FTP clients, and remote desktop management.
• Successful completion of a drug and background screen
• Proven experience with data analysis, report writing and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and data modeling.
• Proven experience with reporting tools, software, and other related applications.
• Experience with the NetSuite platform or similar ERP system is required.
• Success in applying data technology and reports development efforts to achieve business objectives and revenue goals.
• Ability to handle and manage multiple complex tasks concurrently.
