Cabinet Maker

Summary:

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Cabinet Maker to join our custom cabinet shop. Must have strong craftsmanship skills, attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and measurements. This role requires working four 10 hour days, Monday-Thursday. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct custom cabinets, casework and millwork components.
  • Cut, shape and assemble parts using saws, routers, sanders, joiners or other tools.
  • Apply finishes such as hinges, drawer slides, etc.
  • Operate woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Maintain tools, equipment and workstations in clean working order.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear.
  • Repair, modify or rework cabinets as needed to meet project requirements.
  • Ensure all work complies with company standards and building codes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the site supervisor.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Knowledge of woodworking techniques, joinery and finishing.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Frequent standing, bending, lifting, kneeling and manual handling of materials.


Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • 1 year of woodworking experience is preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in woodworking preferred.
