Position Overview

We are seeking a Temporary Social Media Specialist to help manage and execute digital content across a variety of social media platforms. The ideal candidate lives and breathes online culture, understands how conversations move across platforms, and can spot emerging trends before they hit the mainstream.

This role is perfect for someone who spends a significant amount of time online, understands political and cultural discourse, and can translate fast-moving conversations into engaging content. The ideal candidate will be available to fill the role from August 1, 2026 or sooner through November 15, 2026.

Responsibilities

● Monitor social media platforms and online communities for emerging trends, conversations, and opportunities.

● Maintain and execute content calendars across multiple accounts and platforms.

● Curate and source relevant content that aligns with organizational goals and messaging.

● Draft social media copy, captions, posts, and rapid-response content.

● Track political, cultural, and social media trends to inform content strategy.

● Assist with content planning, scheduling, and publishing.

● Collaborate with team members to develop creative and timely social media campaigns.

Qualifications

● Active daily user of major social media platforms, including X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and emerging platforms.

● Strong understanding of online culture, memes, trends, and digital communication.
