WHAT THIS ROLE WILL BE DOING:
The Digital Marketing Specialist is a tactical executor responsible for supporting the Digital Marketing Manager in day-to-day digital marketing activities across social media, email, website content updates, and digital asset creation. This role focuses heavily on content planning, posting, monitoring community engagement, basic creative production, and campaign execution. The specialist will ensure consistency in brand voice across channels while assisting in gathering performance insights to optimize future campaigns. This role requires a detail-oriented, resourceful collaborator with strong digital literacy, communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement in digital marketing best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Execution & Community Management
- Assist in the creation, scheduling, and publishing of organic social media content across core platforms.
Support the execution of paid media campaigns across channels, helping with audience targeting, creative coordination, and performance tracking.
- Monitor channels daily, responding to comments/messages in alignment with brand voice and fostering community engagement.
- Track engagement and performance trends across organic social and paid media efforts, escalating customer issues or insights as needed.
- Research social platform trends and paid media best practices to support ongoing content improvements.
Content Planning & Digital Asset Support
- Support monthly/quarterly content calendar development with the Digital Marketing Manager & Brand Teams.
- Assist in the creation, editing, and proofreading of digital marketing materials (graphics, copy, videos).
- Collaborate with designers and vendors to ensure content accuracy and brand alignment.
- Optimize posts and content for SEO and social engagement.
Email Marketing & Marketing Automation Support
- Build, and Edit CRM-based email campaigns, including newsletters and promotional sends.
- Segment audiences and prepare lists for deployment.
- Support A/B testing and analyze open/click-through rates to recommend improvements.
Website & Digital Experience Support
- Assist with updating web content, maintaining accuracy, and ensuring consistent branding.
- Contribute to keyword research and apply basic SEO best practices.
- Help monitor website traffic and flag performance opportunities.
Campaign Execution & Analytics
- Support implementation of digital marketing campaigns across social media, email, and paid channels.
- Monitor campaign performance and compile KPI reports for the Digital Marketing Manager.
- Conduct basic market research to track competitor activity and digital trends.
Cross-Functional & Administrative Support
- Collaborate with internal teams (creative, sales, product, customer service) to gather content needs and updates.
- Manage digital asset organization, file uploads, and content libraries.
- Support coordination with external partners, agencies, or influencers as needed.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in digital marketing, social media, content creation, or similar role.
- Experience managing business social media accounts and email marketing platforms.
- Familiarity with SEO/SEM fundamentals, analytics, and content best practices.
Skills
- Strong written communication, proofreading, and copyediting skills.
- Proficiency in social media scheduling tools, analytics dashboards, email marketing software, and paid media.
- Basic graphic design or video editing skills (Adobe Creative Cloud or similar) preferred.
