Job Summary for Cook:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our culinary team at Brush Hill Care Center in Milton, Massachusetts. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation for our residents. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional service and have a keen interest in culinary arts, we encourage you to apply for this position.

Cook Responsibilities:

Opening/Closing Procedures: Oversee the opening and closing of the kitchen, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with our sanitation and safety program.
Training and Development: Assist in the training of new employees, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare a wide range of dishes, including meat, fish, poultry, vegetables, soups, gravies, sauces, and desserts, to the required temperatures, textures, and consistencies. Present food in an appealing manner to ensure an enjoyable dining experience for our residents.
Kitchen Equipment Operation: Use various kitchen equipment in large quantity food production, including pots, pans, utensils, and other appliances.
Communication and Customer Service: Demonstrate excellent communication and human relations skills, providing guidance and support to staff members and residents as needed.
Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, and ensuring all food is handled, stored, and served safely.

Cook Requirements:
