- Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning, including garbage/trash removal and maintaining work area in a clean manner.
- Set up trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as directed.
- Assist Cook as necessary.
- Work as a cook when required and as directed.
- Prepare food and supplies for next meal.
- Assist in checking diet trays before distribution.
- Perform dish washing/cleaning procedures.
- Assure that utensils, etc., are readily available for the next meal.
- Prepare and deliver snacks, etc., as instructed.
- Assist in inventory and storing of food, supplies, etc., and maintain food areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times.
- Assist in food preparation for special events.
- Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Make only authorized food substitutions.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor, to include any special projects.
