Job description

Assistant Cook needed for School Food Service program in the Hollywood, FL area. Part time position, day shift, 5 hours daily. Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays. Summers off.Job Summary:We are seeking a dependable and organized Assistant Cook to support the Kitchen Manager with daily food preparation and cooking. The ideal candidate has at least three years of cooking experience, follows instructions well, maintains high food - safety standards, and works effectively as part of a team. Responsibilities:Assist the Kitchen Manager with food preparation and cooking menu items.Unpack and properly store food deliveries.Rotate stock and maintain proper inventory organiztion.Follow established food - safety and sanitation procedures.Keep the kitchen and work areas clean and organized.Follow instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently.Work cooperatively with kitchen staff and managerment.Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.Requirements:Minimum of 3 years of cooking experience.Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.Strong organization skills and attention to detail.Reliable, responsible, and punctual.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Obtain proper documentation to work in schools.Apply today!
