As a vital member of the hospitality team, the Foodservice Assistant/Cook plays a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and satisfaction of campers and staff through the provision of high-quality meals and efficient kitchen operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contribute to the camp community, and develop valuable culinary skills.
Responsibilities:
Meal Preparation:
  • Prepare nutritious and delicious meals in accordance with specified menus, dietary requirements, and portion sizes.
  • Assist in planning menus, considering factors such as nutritional balance, dietary restrictions, and camper preferences.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards at all times, including proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness of kitchen facilities.

Kitchen Operations:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen environment.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies and kitchen equipment.
  • Operate kitchen appliances and equipment safely and efficiently, following manufacturer instructions and guidelines.

Team Collaboration:
