We are looking for a reliable Assistant Controller to assist in preparing statements that follow all regulatory and accounting guidelines under the supervision of a controller. You will be responsible for identifying and preventing discrepancies and helping set up control systems.


An effective assistant controller has good knowledge of accounting principles. You must be organized professionals with a great eye for detail. You must be reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively.


The goal is to contribute to keep the accounting and financial processes of the company up to standard and ensure accurate financial reporting and control. You will report to a financial controller.



Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
  • Prepare accurate GAAP financial statements for multiple companies and investment entities.
  • Assist in managing the general ledger and financial reporting functions.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Help maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Prepare financial reports for executive leadership.
  • Support the CFO with tax filings.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies through technology and process improvements.
  • Participate in special projects and strategic financial initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Corporate accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Experience working with multiple entities or complex accounting environments.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, financial modeling, and data analysis.
