We are working with an organization in Sandy Springs seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in overseeing accounting operations and financial reporting. This hybrid role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting leader looking to make an impact while helping drive operational efficiency.

The Assistant Controller will assist with managing the accounting team, overseeing the close process, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing day-to-day accounting operations
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
  • Coordinate audit preparation and external reporting requirements
  • Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Mentor and support accounting staff
  • Partner with leadership on financial reporting and operational initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
