About the role

Reporting directly to Kuvare US Holdingโ€™s Controller, the Assistant Controller is critical to the accounting, reporting and analysis functions as it relates to Kuvareโ€™s Holding Company system, Kuvare Corporate Management HQ and Kuvareโ€™s underlying operating companies as well as interfacing with Kuvareโ€™s outside investors. From an operational perspective, you will be expected to coordinate and perform the quarterly and annual closing processes for the US and UK holding companies as well as the various accounting and administrative reporting necessary for Kuvare Corporate Management and Kuvare US Holdings. You will be expected to interface closely with different functional areas within Kuvareโ€™s underlying businesses to analyze and report the key performance metrics, and, similarly, to report such findings to Kuvareโ€™s executive team and its financial sponsors and respond to related inquiries.

What you'll do
  • Interface with finance and accounting departments at operating entities to identify, develop and standardize key operational and financial reporting processes and metrics
  • General quarterly and annual close and reporting for Kuvare US Holdings, Inc and Kuvare Holdings LP
  • Lead efforts to improve and standardize monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements at the operational entities and at the consolidated level
  • Compile various KPI's and other reporting metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis from underlying operating entities
  • Provide analysis on operational and financial metrics to help drive business decisions
  • Respond to inquiries from financial sponsors as well as assist with Capital Raise activities
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting requests from management across the Kuvare family of companies:
    • Industry and peer analysis
    • Trend analysis
  • Assist in entity-wide budgeting and forecasting process
  • Special projects as needed
Qualifications Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 5-7 years of experience in public accounting (with a focus in financial services/insurance), and/or strategic / analytical work within a financial services / insurance business
  • Strong knowledge of both GAAP and statutory accounting principles
  • Expert knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations and best practices
  • Excellent understanding of governmental guidelines, tax laws that affect the company
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail
  • Proficient with data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in basic office and accounting software programs
  • Collaborative approach and teamwork skills
  • Ability to understand, research and solve complex problems independently.
