About the Position
As a temporary assistant coach, your responsibilities will be dependent on coaching area. A basic list of responsibilities includes:
  • Providing team and one-on-one student athlete coaching at team practices, games, and other team events
  • Assisting head coach and student athletes
  • Assisting student athletes with athletic and academic affairs
  • Assisting with scheduling
  • Managing and completing office duties related to team, such as general correspondence and emails
  • Participating in coaches meetings, Athletic Department meetings and other committees

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience
  • Working knowledge of the rules and regulations of sport in which applying
  • Excellent communication skills, including written
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team while managing multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to provide effective leadership to student athletes to encourage both successful academic development and competitive performance
