Assistant Controller
Growing and dynamic organization seeking an Assistant Controller to support the accounting and financial reporting function. Reporting to senior finance leadership, this role will oversee key accounting operations, lead financial reporting activities, ensure compliance with GAAP, and support audit and consolidation processes. This position offers strong visibility, leadership opportunities, and career growth within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead month-end close, account reconciliations, fixed assets, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and financial consolidations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage intercompany accounting and consolidation activities across multiple entities.
  • Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Develop and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
  • Provide financial insights and support key business decisions.
  • Drive process improvements and enhance accounting efficiencies.
  • Assist with external audits and implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Mentor and develop accounting team members.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and corporate accounting experience.
  • Strong technical accounting and GAAP knowledge.
  • Experience with financial reporting, consolidations, internal controls, and month-end close.
  • ERP system experience; exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Experience supporting a growing, multi-entity organization preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
