Job description

The Digital Developer will support the day-to-day development, performance monitoring, and operational support of our corporate website. This role sits within Digital Marketing and works closely with paid media, analytics, UX, and external agencies to assist with keeping the website reliable, performant, and aligned with marketing initiatives.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities Website Development & Platform Management
  • Support development and ongoing updates to the WordPress site hosted on WP Engine, including updates to existing themes, plugins, and integrations
  • Implement frontend and backend enhancements using modern best practices (PHP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML)
  • Perform routine platform maintenance tasks, including security updates and coordination across environments (dev / stage / prod)
  • Assist with releases, deployments, and testing activities in partnership with internal stakeholders and agencies
Website Operations & Performance
  • Monitor site performance, page speed, Core Web Vitals, and uptime, escalating issues as needed
  • Work with the Search team to help identify and address technical issues impacting SEO, paid media landing pages, or conversion paths
  • Follow established operational processes for documentation, change management, QA, and incident tracking
  • Help maintain website health, including backups and routine platform checks
Analytics, Tagging & Optimization Support
  • Support Google Tag Manager and GA4 implementations in partnership with Digital Marketing and Analytics
  • Help troubleshoot tracking issues related to paid media, form submissions, and user journeys
  • Assist with experimentation efforts such as A/B testing and landing page iteration
  • Implement new features and templates with measurement and performance considerations in mind, following guidance
DAM & Content Operations
  • Support media workflows using Cloudinary for asset delivery and performance optimization
  • Assist content teams by making updates to templates and reusable components within existing frameworks
  • Maintain metadata and image optimization practices according to defined standards
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing, UX, Paid Media, Analytics, and external agencies on assigned initiatives
  • Translate documented marketing requirements into technical updates with guidance from senior team members
  • Participate in discussions and provide input on website-related decisions and enhancements
  • Other tasks and activities as assigned.
Required Education/Experience & Skills
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in website development and operations, with working knowledge of WordPress.
  • Hands-on experience supporting WordPress websites, including use of themes, plugins, and basic performance and security practices.
  • Familiarity with managed hosting platforms (e.g., WP Engine) and standard deployment workflows.
  • Strong front-end fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end familiarity (PHP).
  • Exposure to Google Tag Manager, GA4, and basic digital analytics tracking.
  • Working knowledge of website performance, SEO basics, and accessibility standards.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners such as marketing, UX, and analytics teams, with guidance.

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $104,200 -$156,300. In addition, this role is eligible for a bonus. Black Duck offers a competitive total rewards package. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.Â
