Job description

Job Description
1. Create business software (60%)
a. Design and develop new features for our existing eCommerce system, Transaction system and other internal tools.
• eCommerce: web-based classic ASP or ASP.net with SQL DB JavaScript, JQuery and ASP.net MVC, Angular JS
• Transaction: server side C#, C++ with SQL DB
• Internal Tools: C# Windows UIs with SQL DB
b. Provide multiple solutions recommendations to meet customer needs
• Define objective decision criteria including cost, time to market, maintainability, fit to product roadmap, etc.
• Identify pros and cons to each proposed solution.
c. Accurately plan and estimate product releases
2. Collaborate with internal and external customers (20%)
a. Partner with product managers, business analysts, and end-customers
• Define and verify system requirements
• Develop testing and rollout strategies
• Manage customer expectations and assist with setting project priorities
3. Support (10%)
a. Proactively search for and fix bugs when reviewing code.
b. Fix bugs identified by both customers and internal users.
c. Update technical documentation of product software.
d. Serve as product expert answering technical questions regarding owned systems.
4. Expand development knowledge (10%)
a. Work on projects outside your domain and implement continuous software process improvement
Skill Set
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering 2. 3 to 5 years software engineering experience 3. Advanced knowledge of C# and SQL 4. Advanced experience working in a Microsoft Environment 5. Experience with Google Angular.js for web development 6. Strong C#/Java development skills 7. Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new software technologies quickly
