Job description

LHH is partnering with a nationally recognized law firm to identify a Legal Billing Coordinator to support a busy Partner and practice group in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a newly created position within a high-volume creditors' rights, secured lending, and finance practice. This role serves as the operational hub of the practice, overseeing billing, matter management, workflow coordination, and legal administrative support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the full billing cycle, including approximately 200 monthly client invoices using Elite 3E.
  • Review and process prebills, partner with firm billing specialists, and ensure timely and accurate invoice submission.
  • Coordinate all aspects of matter management, from file opening through billing and matter completion.
  • Maintain organized case and matter files, monitor deadlines, and track client requirements and expectations.
  • Support attorneys with legal administrative tasks, including document preparation, proofreading, scheduling, client communications, and filings.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff across multiple offices to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional client service.
  • Maintain documents and matter information within iManage and other firm systems.
  • Monitor practice workflow and assist with process improvements to support a high-volume legal practice.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a law firm as a Legal Billing Coordinator, Practice Coordinator, Litigation Assistant, Legal Administrative Assistant, or similar role.
  • Experience managing attorney billing, prebills, and client invoicing.
  • Elite 3E experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and support staff.
  • Experience with iManage and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
