Job description

Job Summary (List Format):
- Supports the procurement process for assigned commodities/services.
- Develops solicitation and contract documentation under general supervision.
- Analyzes and interprets technical data, policies, and regulations to coordinate procurement and contract activities.
- Assists in preparing solicitations and related documents.
- May assist in oral presentations, negotiations, evaluations, and award processes.
- May participate in focus group meetings for statewide contracts.
- Provides timely and courteous assistance to customers in developing complex technical and performance specifications.
- Identifies and addresses issues within applicable statutes and rules; escalates to supervisor as needed.
- May assist in administering contracts and participating in post-award meetings.
- Initiates contract extensions as needed.
- Analyzes requests and drafts contract amendments/change orders.
- Conducts market research and data analysis with minimal supervision.
- Assists in reviewing Sole Source and Emergency procurement requests for compliance.
- Drafts formal written determinations for supervisor and Chief Procurement Officer’s review and approval.
- Attends and participates in meetings.
- Performs special assignments as required.
