Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and capable chemical engineer to contribute to molten salt systems and process development, manufacturing, and engineering,while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and oversee the commissioning and operation of a process and facility involving beryllium salts.
  • Maintain the quality of the process and identify improvements.
  • Work closely with EHS to ensure worker safety in and around beryllium work areas.
  • Train technicians on analytical methods.
  • Assist on the production floor as needed. Provide training and guidance to staff on quality standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Required
    • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
    • Experience working with FLiBe or beryllium, especially beryllium fluoride
    • Expertise in analytical methods such as ICP-MS, SEM-EDX
    • Ability to use and wear full body PPE, including a respirator (PAPR) and full-body cover suit
    • Strong focus on safety and environmental protection
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Preferred
    • Experience in nuclear, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
    • Experience with hazardous chemicals and laboratory settings
    • PE license or FE certification highly preferred
    • Familiarity with process control, I&C, and plant operations
    • Knowledge of ASME codes and standards
