Hitachi Sales Channel Manager

We are in search of a sales leader to assist in running the sales program for Hitachi HVAC products in the US. In this role you will be responsible for driving sales through the channel, ensuring partner performance, and supporting the broader sales strategy.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor sales representatives within the channel, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Set and track sales quotas for the channel team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Complete sales reports and administrative tasks to support management decision-making.
  • Address escalated customer service issues that require channel-level resolution.
  • Support the sales management team with strategic planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Sell products or services directly or assist in negotiating and closing deals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, ensuring compliance with agreements and high satisfaction ratings
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the network.
  • Collaborate with technology or product teams to deliver value-based propositions to partners.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 7+ years of experience selling a technology-based product
  • 7+ years of HVAC industry experience - VRF and/or Ductless
  • 7+ years of experience calling on contractors, consultant engineers
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Sales experience in the business-to-business marketplace.
  • Demonstrated ability to support a rapidly growing account base while increasing sales year over year. Proven track record of generating and closing sales leads.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Accepts additional challenges and willingly assists others. Other key characteristics - self-reliant; demonstrates imagination; innovative thinker; highly productive and self-motivated; responds well to changing requirements and needs; flexible; adaptable.
  • Goal oriented, self-starter, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills; able to articulate clearly and effectively over the phone and in person.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, ACT and Excel. Ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
