Job description

JOB OVERVIEW

Campaign Interns work energetically and directly with the campaign, uniquely assisting in all aspects including: field operations, digital operations, finance, digital media, strategy, and more. They will be under the direct supervision of the Campaign Manager, and will assist him where need be.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruit and train campaign volunteers in field (door-to-door) and digital (phone-banking) canvassing.
  • Participate in field, digital, and media operations under the supervision of those aspects’ respective leaders.
  • Learn campaign strategy, operations, voter targeting, finance/fundraising, communications, and a variety of professional skills.
  • Research candidates, issues, strategies, and the community.
  • Engage in campaign and community related events.
  • Assist the Campaign Manager and Candidate where and when instructed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Interest in politics, government, communications and or marketing.
  • Organized, motivated, and willing to learn and communicate with the campaign and voters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and an active and appropriate social media presence.
  • Capability to participate in door-to-door canvassing and or phone banking.
  • Own laptop computer (or equivalent) and familiarity with MS Excel, Google Sheets and database warehousing
  • Sign non-disclosure and privacy agreement on confidential strategy & info
