Position: Assistant/Associate Buyer
Reports to: Senior Buyer
Full-Time
Location: Hive Home, West Palm Beach , FL
Travel may be required.
Job Overview:
The Assistant or Associate Buyer partners closely with the Buyer to support product assortment planning, vendor communication, and performance analysis. This role begins to learn product cycles on different categories while contributing to strategic merchandising decisions.
Position starts at $55,000 for Assistant Buyer & $60,000 for Associate Buyer. Position and final rate based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze sales data, inventory levels, and market trends to identify opportunities and support buying decisions
• Support category strategies by building and maintaining assortments aligned with business goals, driving sales, and profitability
• Assists in maintaining inventory levels and a curated product assortments that aligns with Hive's Brand
• Manages vendor communication, including order placement, follow-ups, and vendor onboarding
• Assists with purchase orders from start to finish and tracks delivery timelines to ensure deadlines are met
• Prepare reports and deliver insights for buying meetings and seasonal reviews to support informed decision making
• Identify opportunities for reorders, markdowns, aged inventory and RTVs
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments by shifting priorities based on business needs.
• Required to work 1 Saturday a month in Season
