General Building Maintenance

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and facilities.

· Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the facility, including offices, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, production areas, entrances, and other common areas.

· Clean interior and exterior windows, glass doors, and other glass surfaces.

· Clean and maintain the exterior of the building, including sidewalks, entryways, parking areas, and grounds.

· Perform painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general repair work as needed.

· Conduct routine inspections of the building and grounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.

· Assist with preventative maintenance activities on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems.

· Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, filters, and other building components as needed.

· Operate maintenance equipment and tools safely and effectively.

· Monitor and maintain supplies and equipment needed for maintenance and cleaning activities.

· Respond promptly to maintenance requests from employees and management.

· Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary.

· Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.

· Assist with facility setup and teardown for meetings, events, or special projects.

· Remove trash and debris from interior and exterior areas.

· Perform seasonal maintenance duties such as pressure washing, storm preparation, and other facility-related tasks.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities as required.

· Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Two or more years of building maintenance, custodial, facilities, or related experience preferred.

· Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance practices.

· Ability to safely use maintenance tools, equipment, and cleaning products.

· Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and OSHA requirements.

· Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and complete work with minimal supervision.

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

· Dependable, responsible, and detail-oriented.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing ladders, standing, walking, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

· Valid driver's license preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and climbing.

· Ability to work on ladders and elevated surfaces safely.

· Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment.

· Ability to work indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions
