Job Title: Assistant Beverage Manager

Salary: $65,000 +

Status: Full Time

Shift: Varies

Located in beautiful Black Hawk, CO, the Monarch Resort Spa seeks a passionate Assistant Beverage Manager to join our team! You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment that exceeds the expectations of our guests and team.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee all beverage operations on the casino floor and in restaurants, ensuring compliance with Food and Beverage Manager standards and company regulations.
  • Monitor and ensure accuracy and compliance with administrative duties of supervisory staff and departmental policies.
  • Recruit, interview, and recommend hires for all beverage positions, including Beverage Servers, Bartenders, and Bar Backs; coach and discipline team members as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to beverage portion control policies and manage inventory, including jigger pours and carafes.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of the beverage operation and achieve departmental revenue and expense budget goals.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old and able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License; previous casino beverage experience is recommended.
  • 2-5 years of Food and/or Beverage Management experience or a relevant degree in hospitality reccomended but not required.
  • Ability to understand and apply financial reports, problem-solve, manage conflicts, and use mediation skills effectively.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques, guest needs, and state-of-the-art sales methods, with a focus on setting and meeting sales goals.
  • Must be able to work in a high-volume, dynamic environment; possess excellent guest service and communication skills; and handle physical requirements including standing for long periods and lifting up to 45 lbs.
