Job description

The Providence Oyster Bar located in East Greenwich is hiring a Line Cook! 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Prepare ingredients including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, measuring ingredients, etc. 
  • Cook meals in a timely and efficient manner, upholding the appropriate temperature and consistency. 
  • Be knowledgeable on the various kitchen stations, i.e. grill, hot line, salad station, etc. 
  • As assigned, assist with food preparation, kitchen line, and dishwashing. 
  • Uphold the food quality including cooking temperatures and plate presentation. 
  • Be aware of contamination on reported allergies. 
  • Uphold the kitchen cleanliness standards including sanitizing surfaces. 
  • Adhere to the Health Department standards at all times within all kitchen operations. Immediately, report any concerns with the manager. 
  • Uphold the FIFO (First In, First Out) process to include all products are appropriately dated. 
  • Uphold the refrigerator food storage safety measures to include product placement and temperature logs. 
  • Report inventory and product needs to the manager
  • Uphold the company's policies and procedures.
  • All other assigned duties.
