What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?
 
Woodard & Curran is seeking a Water Utility Field Services Technician in Bradenton, FL. The ideal candidate will perform routine, preventive and corrective maintenance of  sewer collection system conveyance piping, valves, miscellaneous fitting and other assigned assets.  All work will take place within the city limits of the Town of Bradenton.
 
This position is eligible for a $1,000.00 sign-on bonus.
Essential duties are, but not limited to:
  • Performing all work in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures.
  • Performing all work to produce an end result which meets all goals and objectives set by project management.
  • Operate equipment for the rehabilitation of manholes and maintenance of the collection system.
  • Responds to and resolves customer complaints.
  • Performs record keeping/data entry.  Record daily reading of equipment and processes.
  • Cleans and maintains facilities buildings and grounds.
  • Repairs yards following maintenance procedures.
  • Monitors inventory of parts supplies and chemicals.
  • Communicates with co-workers on processes and job activities.
  • Assists in the inspection processes of sewer lines and manholes.
  • Assist in the maintenance and operations of the CCTV inspection system.
  • Occasionally assists in the location of utility lines.
  • Assist in Asset Management and Maintenance Programs
  • Repairs and maintain sewer lines, manholes and lift stations.
  • Responds to emergency situations. 
Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday, 1st shift. Flexibility and extended shifts to meet the seasonal demands of the collection system.  Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position.
  • Availability for standby duty and the ability to be "on-call," working evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.  Response to emergency events and alarm callouts required as scheduled and required.
What will you need to succeed?
  • Must have high school diploma or educational equivalent.
  • Requires the ability to carry out verbal and written instructions.
  • Must have the ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees.
  • Must be willing to obtain a Florida Class C Collections System license within 1 year of employment
  • Must be willing to work schedules which may include weekend or holiday duty, carry a company provided telephone, and be willing to respond to emergencies at any time.
  • Must possess a valid Florida driver's license
  • Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment.
$20 - $26 an hour
Depending on qualifications and experience.
Annual Project bonuses are awarded each year.
Annual Safety bonuses are awarded each year.
