Full-Time, Audio Visual Technician Sr.
Busch Gardens Williamsburg
What you get to do:
  • Perform green tagging, preventive maintenance and repairs of all park sound, games, gift shop, and special events and ride related A/V systems.
  • Perform follow-up of trouble calls, S.O.P.'s, repairs and maintenance of all technical services'daily responsibilities.
  • Assist department Managers with the installations and set up of new work and projects.
  • Assist with the training of new technicians and returning technicians as needed.
  • Learn to Operate/Troubleshoot ride and attraction A/V systems, camera systems, games, park background sound and all other A/V systems across the park.
  • Perform quality set-up of Audio-Visual Systems for presentations and special functions, events and meetings. (to include follow up and inspections of set ups).
  • Assist with wiring and cabling pulls, ordering of supplies and work orders as needed.
  • Assist with the installation and removal of park startup/shutdown, fireworks systems, Water Country systems, Special Holiday Event Systems as needed.
  • Assist with soldering, connector installation, audio/video related cabling, minor microphone/cabling repairs etc.
  • Program QSYS, Brightsign, Camera and various A/V systems.
  • All other tasks assigned.

What it takes to succeed:
  • Must be 18 years of age or old
  • Valid Driver's license required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Audio/video trade school or certification preferred
  • Programming and coding experience and knowledge preferred
  • Video editing experience and knowledge preferred
  • Must be able to lift heavy equipment (min.50bs)
  • Must be able to work on genie lifts (20-40-foot heights) and ladders, work from extreme heights (roller coaster heights as high as 200 feet)
  • Must be able to work varied schedules to include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in extreme conditions (outside in cold/heat)
  • Prefer 2 years of related work experience with video projectors systems, audio systems and related install and maintenance of these systems in a theatre, festival or event setting.
