Job Title: Audio Visual (A/V) Project Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual (A/V) Project Manager to lead and oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of AV projects from initiation to completion. This role requires a deep understanding of AV systems and technologies, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end AV projects including planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and client communication
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and installation teams to define project scopes and technical requirements
  • Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including schedules, scopes of work, change orders, and status reports
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and installation of AV equipment
  • Ensure compliance with project timelines, budgets, safety protocols, and quality standards
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing updates and addressing issues
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure proper installation practices
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively
  • Facilitate project close-out, including final inspections, client training, and documentation hand-off
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience (3-5 years minimum) managing AV integration or live event projects
  • Strong knowledge of AV systems including video conferencing, audio systems, control systems (e.g. Crestron, Extron), digital signage, and networking
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana)
  • Ability to read and interpret AV system designs and blueprints
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including technicians, engineers, and external vendors
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • CTS or CTS-D (InfoComm/AVIXA) certification preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform site walks or inspections in varied environments
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed (local and occasional out-of-town travel may be required)
